R.I.S.K. Company, the leader in the Azerbaijan IT and communication solution market, announces the win of the bidding aimed to set up technological infrastructure of the Tax Ministry, particularly creation of powerful SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) fiber optic network for branches of Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan Republic.

R.I.S.K. Company was chosen in the competitive bidding to carry out the Project as a company profoundly experienced in implementing packaged IT and telecom solution.

The Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the body of the central executive authority providing realization of a uniform state tax policy, full and duly receipt in the state budget of taxes and other obligatory payments and the state control carrying out in this area. The Ministry carries out information interaction with various Ministries and internal departments, local government administrations, and also with tax payers – natural and juridical persons.

Current information-processing network had failed to support information flow processes, therefore a decision was made to choose modern and effective SDH network which should support physically distributed but logically integrated system for data gathering, storing, processing, and distributing, as required to fulfill Ministry’s functions.

The aim of the project was to actualize the Ministry of Taxes information system development program, to align its architectural and organizational IT development with the available resources and present-day world trends in the IT area. The subject of the project is to complete the network installation for 4 branches, namely Baku City Taxes Department, Branch # 1 of Baku City Taxes Department, Primary Investigation department of the Ministry of Taxes and Training Center of the Ministry of Taxes.

The technical aspect of the project is closely related to implementing SDH technologies for interconnection of aforementioned branches. All connections will be secured by Cisco VPN technologies. The project is currently being implemented in close relationship with customer project implementation team. The final installations planned for performance by R.I.S.K. Company in April will enable customer to run the whole country-wide network and implement applications for data exchange and collaboration.
